Deaf Ministry

We invite you to visit our deaf ministry at The Pentecostals of Peoria by attending one of our church services.

Isaiah 43:8 teaches us to: Bring forth...the deaf that have ears. Then in Isaiah 42:18 Hear, ye deaf;...

Our Sunday morning and evening services are interpreted for the deaf. We have several interpreters who are friendly, warm, and look forward to meeting people new to our community and church.

Early in 2000, the Pentecostals of Peoria felt the burden to reach the Deaf and Hearing Impaired persons of our community. If you are deaf or hearing impaired, this ministry exists for you! Also, if you know anyone who is deaf or hearing impaired, please tell them about our ministry and let us know so we can contact them.

Interpreters Available! An interpreter for the deaf is available upon request for all services. Also, we teach classes at the church on how to sign using ASL.

Fall Sign Language Classes Now Offered. Learn how to communicate with the deaf through sign language. American Sign Language (ASL) classes are now being taught by Gloria Veal and Shawn DasGupta at Pentecostals of Peoria on Monday nights from 6:00-8:00 PM. Our Mission: We believe the Bible applies to everyone, hearing and deaf alike. The Bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Deaf people need the Word through preaching, Bible studies and daily devotions. Church is for all of God's children. Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together. We can't fulfill the Great Commission if we don't take the time to teach our deaf brothers and sisters how to apply the Word of God to their daily lives to worship together, pray together and study the Word together. Our ministers volunteer their time because of their love for people and their burden for the Word of God.
